Exclusive Shore Event: Cabo San Lucas | Highlights of Cabo, Organic Farm and a Festive Lunch
We begin our day with a short drive through downtown Cabo San Lucas in our deluxe motor coach where our guides will give you a brief historical talk while we drive to the Glass Blown factory. Here, we will witness this Mexican tradition of more than one hundred years that our artisans continue to pass down through generations. A blown glass demonstration will be performed for us.
We will continue along the spectacular rugged coast, lined with wonderful views of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. You will note that the Cape region is striking in appearance, ranging from an arid desert setting and white sand coves, to swaying palm trees and deep blue sea.
Our next stop is San Jose del Cabo, a picturesque town, where we will visit Huerta Los Tamarindos, an organic farm located just a mile from the Sea of Cortez and San Jose's estuary and dating back to the 19th Century. Los Tamarindos was first used to cultivate sugar cane, one of the area's major exports during that time, and due to its fertile soil, quickly became one of the region's most important farms. After lying fallow for several years, the farm was rededicated to the cultivation of organic produce in 2003, a novel concept for this area at the time, that has since seen intense growth.
Next, it's onto our lunch venue for a wonderful lunch of local cuisine at La Panga Restaurant, known for their regional seafood cuisine and award winning chef.
After lunch, we will return to the ship or you have the option of staying in town and returning to the ship on your own.
Approximate Length: Five hours, 30 minutes
